Trains in Tropical/Arctic climate
These engines are based on North American ones, mainly Canada. In Canada there has been a completely different emphasis on engines than here in europe. Whilst in the UK and Europe emphasis has been on getting light, fast engines in Canada the emphasis has been on getting big powerful engines. I live in the UK, so I found it relatively easy to work out which engine is which, I have tried very hard to find out all about Canadian engines but I haven't found a lot. First note is that as shown in transport tycoon there are no electric trains, and as far as I know this is accurate, literally all trains in Canada are diesels! This is presumably the lines are so long in such a big country electrification would proove far to expensive. Well enough chatting, this is what I have found, if you know more than me please post a message on the webboard

The
Turner Turbo refers to the Turbo Train. This is I believe North
Americas only attempt at a high speed train. It is very different
from the British Inter-city 125,
the only other deseil high speed train in the world.
