Warning! This is a very graphics intensive page. I have pictures
of the following:
If you track down any other pictures on the net, please let me know. Below is a key for working out which real life aircraft fits each transport tycoon aircraft.
The Transport Tycoon Aircraft companies and their real life counter parts are as follows:
Bakewell Luckett = McDonnell Douglas
Darwin = Boeing
Yate = British Aerospace
Airtaxi = Airbus
Dinger = Fokker
Tricario - Sikorsky (apparently)
Guru - Lockheed
Sampson - Junkers
Coleman - Vickers
Bakewell Cotswald - Douglas
Sampson U52 -> Junkers JU52
Coleman Count -> Vickers Viscount
Guru Galaxy -> Lockheed TriStar
Bakewell Cotswald LB-3 -> Douglas DC-3
Guru X2: Not sure, but this is probably an analogy to the McDonnell
Douglas
NOTAR, as Lockheed isn't much of a helicopter company, Curtsey
of Joey
Now you know the names of the aircraft you have to give them their real numbers, this should assist
In the following ? is a number
For McDonnell Douglas Aircraft simply replace LB-? With DC? If ?>10 then replace with MD?
For Airbus aircraft A?? Becomes A??0
For British Aerospace aircraft rename YA, BA the number remains the same. Clearly Haugan = Concorde
Fokker numbers are the same.
For Boeing aircraft it is a little more complicated. A Darwin ?00 becomes Boeing 7(?+1)7
This is the Sampson U52 or Junkers JU52. (This plane may only be in TT original)
This is the Bakewell Luckett LB-3, or Douglas DC-3
Vikers Viscount, Coleman Count in TT
Boeing 757 - Darwin 400
Boeing 767 - Darwin 500
Boeing 777 - Darwin 600
Airbus A320 - Airtaxi A32
McDonnell Douglas MD11 - Bakewell Luckett LB-11
