Competition

Notice: You may not alter the scenario in any way before playing, or use any cheats as mentioned in the cheats section. You may however take over rival companies. Any entries showing evidence of cheating will be rejected.

I have decided to make a transport tycoon competition. I have two competitions:

Competition 1

This competition is for more advanced players. Download the Competition Scenario, set the difficulty to hard and play it. The aim is to make as much money as possible by 1998. This does NOT include company value. The person who submits the game with the most money will gain 1st place, and that game will be available for download. I will also mention the top 5 places, but I won't put up their saved games. I have designed this scenario to be quite a challenge, even advanced players should find this challenging!

Description of scenario:

This is Sub-Arctic Climate. There is a long water way which cuts across the centre, which is just narrow enough for bridges. Either side of the water way there are maximum height ridges, 6 squares across at the top. Industries which supply and demand are on opposite sides of the ridges, as with two medium sized towns. However, there is a road which tunnels under the ridges, going from side to the other. There are other towns dotted around the place.

Things to think about:

I have 1 entry for this competition

Competition 2

This is a more straightforward competition. Download the scenario of the British Isles and play it on medium difficulty and build 80 profit making trains in as shorter time as possible. 1st place will go to the person who gets 80 money making trains at the earliest date and their saved game will be available for download. I will mention the top 5 places.

Description:

This is the British Isles made as accurately as I possibly could, with industries more or less in the right positions. Towns are in the correct positions and I have made them of an appropriate size (relatively speaking of course, London for example has in fact a pop of 7 million). A large amount remains water, and the very low population of Ireland (3mn) is simulated by very low amount of towns and few industries. This scenario was constructed using atlases, so is reasonable geographically accurate
